Getting to KAIST from from Incheon Airport

From Incheon International Airport to KAIST By Airport Limousine Bus + Taxi (Duration: ~3 Hours)

• For Terminal 1: Bus tickets and further information can gotten from ticketing offices near exits 4,5,6,7,8,9 and and 11 (see the pink circular ticket markers on the map) in the arrival hall on the 1st Floor. The buses for Daejeon are found outside near exit 11 (indicated on the map below).

• For Terminal 2: Bus tickets and further information can gotten from ticketing offices at the transportation area in B1. The buses for Daejeon are indicated on the map below.

• The bus will arrive in Daejeon, at the Daejeon government complex. There will be taxis nearby the bus stop, and KAIST is about 5-10 minutes away by taxi.

• You can show the following message to the taxi driver:
  “카이스트 본원 양분순 빌딩(E16-1)으로 가주세요.”
  (Translation: Please go to KAIST, Yang Bun Soon building(E16-1))

From Incheon International Airport to KAIST By Trains + Taxi (Duration: ~2.5 Hours)

• Board the AREX railway line at incheon international airport (Found in the transportation center on the B1F of the terminal you arrive in). Trains run from 5:15am till 10:40pm (Terminal 2), and from 5:23am till 10:48pm (Terminal 1). Tickets can be bought at the terminal in the B1F transportation center, or online
  
  • The regular train runs every 5-10 minutes, and will take about an hour to reach seoul station (~5000 KRW)
    
  • The express trains leave every 20-40 minutes and will take about 40 minutes to reach seoul station (~10,000 KRW)

• From Seoul station, you can purchase a ticket to Daejeon Station (23,700 KRW) or you can buy a ticket online and in advance.
  
• After arriving at Daejeon station, you can take a taxi from the front of the station to KAIST (~12,000 KRW)
  
• You can show the following message to the taxi driver:
  “카이스트 본원 양분순 빌딩(E16-1)으로 가주세요.”
  (Translation: Please go to KAIST, Yang Bun Soon building(E16-1))
